Alright, so I haven’t been posting in a while. What’s the deal? Well, I got married. Please see the picture below:
For those of you who are married, you know that the weeks leading up to the day are pretty crazy, so I haven’t had a ton of time to post. So I know, I have missed out on Northern Iowa, more Tiger Woods, baseball, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, and so on. But there will be more to come, and a new podcast this week! So, let’s dance!
Here it is my 100th post on the Knuckle Sandwich blog. Over the past several months, we, and by we, I mean me, have tried to bring comedy to sports as best as we, I mean, I can. So what am I going to blog about? Iverson being a drunk gambler (like all the great NBA players are)? NCAA Conference Tournaments starting up? Baseball kicking into high gear? Nope. I am going to talk about my bachelor party.
That’s right. I am getting married on March 20th, and for my bachelor party we went to my old collegiate stomping grounds, San Luis Obispo. It just so happens that Saturday night was Cal Poly’s last home basketball game vs the University of California Irvine Anteaters, and me being a huge basketball fan, that was part of the festivities. As if they knew it was my bachelor party, the two teams put on a pretty good show (well for the last six or seven minutes), but what was the most amazing, was UCI was down by eight with a minute to go, but kept hitting shots, and found themselves down by one with seven seconds left. Oh yeah, and some girls behind us, kept screaming about some guy named Mike. Let’s go to the tape, compliments of one of my groomsmen, Shane Elliot.
So, anyone who says that women’s college basketball is not intense, you are kidding yourself. Check out what went down at the Baylor/Texas Tech game last night:
